Starting Lineups must be received one hour before the first game of the NFL week, no exceptions. A Starting Lineup cannot be accepted if the franchises current Roster exceeds 19 players. You will be required to Waive excess players. In the event a Starting Lineup is accidentally accepted then a Fairness Vote will determine the resolve. If no Starting Lineup is received then it is assumed that the league is to use the last valid Starting Lineup.

Goals of the Points Game

Your Weekly Points are the Points that your Starting Lineup produces on any given NFL week. You should strive to maximize your points each week by placing your best Starting Lineup on the field because you are competing with all the other franchises in the league. If you have the most Weekly Points on a given week then you are the Weekly Winner. Overall Points is the sum of your Weekly Points to date. If you have the most Overall Points at the end of the season then you are the Overall Winner of the Points Game.

The Head to Head Game

The Head to Head Game mimics a true NFL season. Like the NFL each franchise will be provided a schedule to compete with only one other franchise.

In week one Brendan plays Justin. The franchise with the most Weekly Points wins the Head to Head game. After 14 weeks each team will have played their complete season. The franchises will be ranked according to their Win/Loss record, head to head play, overall points and coin toss. NFL Week 15 marks the start of the Head to Head playoff season where the 8 best franchises will be bracketed in tournament fashion according to their rank (i.e. #1 rank vs. #8 rank). The winners move on to play each other during NFL Week 16 and only 2 franchise will remain to fight for the right to be called Stupor Bowl Champion in NFL Week 17.

Waiving

You may waive a player when you submit your starting lineup.

Trades

You are able to officially submit one trade per week to the league. Trades can only be between 2 franchises. You may not trade for a player who was previously on your roster. Trades must be submitted by Tuesday 10:00PM EST. Trades will be Confirmed or Denied by the league by Wednesday 10:00PM EST. All trades will be subject to a Fairness Vote. The trading franchises will be excluded from the Fairness Vote as it is a conflict of interest. All players from a confirmed trade will available immediately for play.

Free Agents

A Free Agent is any player not on another franchises roster. You may sign one Free Agent a week. We will use the Greater Needs method if 2 or more franchises desire the same Free Agent. Awarded Free Agents will be available for play immediately. Free Agent must be on your roster one full weekend before being traded. You may not attempt to sign a Free Agent who was previously on you roster.

Greater Needs

The Greater Needs method is a means of breaking a tie using least overall points to date, lower current winning percentage, lesser record between head to head competition, coin toss.

Fairness Vote

The league has created the Fairness Vote because the scope of this document is limited and circumstances could arise that may make policies on this document unfair. If a league issue arises that could have direct affect upon the fairness of competition then these mechanisms will go into affect. Issues for a Fairness Vote must be received by Tuesday 10:00PM EST. Each franchise will receive from the commissioner a summary of the issue and the parties involved. The most common vote will be official trade requests. Conflicting franchises will be excluded from the Fairness Vote to include the commissioner. All votes must be into the league by Wednesday 10:00PM EST. Any votes received after the deadline will not be counted. A majority vote confirms the resolve proposed by the Fairness Vote. All Trade Fairness Votes will be presented in a format to stop the Trade requiring a majority vote against the trade to stop it.

Franchises

The league will be made up of 8 10 franchises.
